Purple Passion

This tutorial was written by me on July 22, 2012 and are the result of my own imagination.  Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidental.
This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies needed.

I am using PSP X4 but this tutorial should work with any version.

PTU Tube: I am using the Gorgeous artwork of Barbara Jensen. Please do not use her artwork without a proper license. You can purchase this at  at her store here
You will need a close up & full size tube.

FTU Frame: I am using Purple passion frame by Tonya's Temptations.
Thank you for creating this fantastic frame. You can download it at her blog here.

Mask: WSL_mask160. You can down load it from Weescotslass Creations here
Save to your mask folder.

Plug ins: None

Font: Red Shoe Italic. You can download it here.

This tutorial was written using the supplies above. If you are using a different tube or scrap kit you may need to make adjustments. I am using a drop shadow of V/H 2 Opacity 50, blur 5 through out unless otherwise stated.

Open your frame and duplicate it (Shift + D) and close the original.

Open your close up tube and pick a color from it. I am using #8b49ab.

Using your magic wand, click inside your frame make sure you select inside the smaller parts of your frame.

see example

Selections modify>expand by 6. Add a new raster layer and move this under your frame layer. Flood fill your new layer with #8b49ab or your color of choice.
Copy your close up tube and paste above your fill layer. Using your
move tool, move into a place you like best. Once happy with placement, selections>invert, make sure you are standing on your tube layer, and hit delete on your keyboard.
Select none. Change your blend mode on your tube to soft light.

Select your frame layer and add a drop shadow.

Add a new raster layer and move this layer to the bottom. Flood fill this layer with a color of choice.
I am using the same purple as earlier #8b49ab. Layers>load/save mask>load mask from disk and find WSL mask 160. Load it, invert not checked. Apply your mask and merge group.
Image resize>120% all layers not checked.

Copy your main tube and paste as a new layer. Image resize 90%, mirror and move to the left side (see mine for placement) add a drop shadow.

Crop>Merged Opaque. Image resize 600 width and your height will adjust itself. All layers checked.

Add your copyright and name. Save as png and your done.

I hope you enjoyed my tutorial. I would love to see your results.
