Golden & Gorgeous

This tutorial was written by me on July 16, 2012 and are the result of my own imagination. Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidental.

This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies needed.

I am using PSP X4 but this tutorial should work with any version.

Animation Shop

PTU Artist: I am using a gorgeous mermaid tube by Elias Chatzoudis. Please do not use his artwork without a proper license. I puchased mine at PTE.  You can purchase his tubes here.

Filters. Mura Meister Copies. This is the only outside filter and we will be using a few of the filters that came with psp.

Bubble animation: This animation was made buy a friend of mine Karenality..Thank you Karen for creating this animation. You can download it from her blog here.

Ready. We will be making the banner first.

New image 600x250

Open your main tube>copy and paste as a new raster layer.

Mura Meister copies>Wall paper rotate default settings.

Effect>distortion effects>wind from left>strength 100
Repeat wind but use from right.

Duplicate this layer. Select your copy.

Effects>distortion effects>wave with the following settings:
Amplitude 10 wavelength 40 Horizontal and Vertical. Edge mode Wrap.

Then effects>geometric effects>circle transparent selected.
You might have to move this layer down so the globe is in the middle of your tag.

Select your Medium sized tube. Copy and paste as a new raster layer.

Move her down so her face is in the middle of the globe and change
your blend mode to soft light.

Select your bottom layer and select all. Image crop to selections.
select none.

Select your top layer and merge visible.

Copy your main tube and paste as a new layer. Image>mirror>image resize 70%
and move to the left. (see mine for placement) Add a drop shadow of V/H 2 opacity 50 blur 5 black.

Pick a color from your tube. I used #fcc999 in my forground and
#e8a1c6 in my background. Make a gradient using the following settings.

Linear>angel 45>repeats 6.

Add a new raster layer, select all>modify>selections to boarder add a boarder width of 5 Both sides checked and fill it with your gradient.  Adjust>add/remove noise>Gaussian 50% monochrome checked.

Effects>drop shadow V/H 1 Opacity 100, Blur 1 black. Repeat but change your V/H to -1. Select none.

Add your name & copyright. If you do not want to animate it save as png and your done. Do not close. Duplicate (shift + D) and close your original.

Skip the animation steps and go to the Avatar steps.

Open the big transparent bubbles.mng in animation shop and delete the credit layer. You will have 11 frames on the bubbles.

Back to psp.

Close your name, copyright, frame & main tube layer. & merge visible.

Copy your background layer and paste into animation shop as new animation.
Duplicate this layer until you have 11 frames. It will show you your number count on the bottom right hand corner of animation shop.

Select all (ctrl + A)

Back to your bubbles. Select all (ctrl + A) and copy (ctrl + C)

Back to your background layer. Paste into selected frames or (ctrl + E).
The bubbles will be sitting on your pointer. Move to approximately the middle and click.

View your animation. If you don't like where the bubbles are hit ctrl + Z to undo it and paste again using ctrl E (as it is still in your memory) and place your bubbles in a different place.

Once your happy with your bubble placement, go back to psp.

Close your background layer and open your other layers, merge visible.

Copy and go back to animation shop.

Paste as new animation (ctrl + v) and duplicate it until you have 11 frames.

Select all (ctrl + A) and copy (ctrl + c) back to your background with the bubbles.

Select all (ctrl + A) and paste into selection (ctrl + E) line up your frame and click.

It might take you a few tries before you get it right. Remember ctrl + z can be your best friend Lol.

Once you are happy with your banner, Save.

We are finished with the animation for the banner whew.

Back to psp as we will now be making the Avatar.

Open your background layer and merge visible.

Select your crop tool and crop to 150x150. See my image below.

Move the square to a spot you like and click crop.
Repeat the steps for the frame that we did for the banner but change the width to 3.

Add your copyright and initial or name and save as png.

I hope you enjoyed my tutorial. I would love to see your results.
