Gnome Garden

Tube of choice: I am using the fantastic artwork of Jessica Dougherty.
I purchased mine through CILM. You now can find her tubes at CDO
Please do not use this tube without a proper license. You can purchase it

FTU frame: Called Gnome sweet Gnome by BKC Designs.
You can download this fantastic frame here . Thank you Belinda for making this fun frame for us to use.

Mask of choice. I am using WSL Mask 360 made by Weescotslass Creations.
You can download it here.
You will find the link on the right hand side of the page. Thank you Chelle for making these wonderful masks.
Save this to your mask folder.

Font of choice: I am using Beyond Sky. This is a FTU font and you can download it here.

On to the tutorial

Open the frame by Belinda. Shift + D to duplicate it and close the original.
Delete the copyright layer. Image>canvas size with the following settings:

We will resize this later.

Pick a color from your tube or from the frame. I am using #ecb655. Layers>
Load/save mask>Load mask from disk. Find WSL Mask360>fit to canvas>source Luminance>
Hide all mask checked. Invert transparency unchecked. Merge group.
Effects>texture effects>weave with these settings.

or pick a color to go with your mask color.

Open your tube. Edit>copy and paste as a new layer. Move this layer just
above your mask layer if it is not already. Duplicate it and move the duplicate
above your frame layer. Add a drop shadow of choice. I used V/H 2, opacity 50,
Blur 5.

Now this part can be tricky. Select your frame layer. Click inside it with your magic wand.
Selections>modify>expand by 3. Selections>invert.

Select your top tube layer. Using your eraser, erase the bottom portion of your tube.

Select none.

Select your frame layer and add a drop shadow. I used V/H 2, opacity 50 blur 5.

Select your crop tool and merged opaque.

Click ok or the green check mark.

Image>resize 80% all layers checked.

Add your name & copyright. Save as .png and your done.

I hope you enjoyed my tutorial.

I would love to see your results.
