PTU: Cup of Kitty


This tutorial was written by me on June 16, 2013 and are the result of my own imagination. Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidental.

This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies needed.

I am using PSP X4 but this tutorial should work with any version.

PTU Tube:  I am using the fantastic artwork of Maryline Cazenave.  Please do not use this artwork without a  proper license.   You can purchase this awesome tube at CDO here.  

PTU scrap kit:  I am using an awesome kit called  My LadyBug by Schnegge Scraps.  Thank you for creating this gorgeous kit.  You can purchase this fantastic kit at CDO here.

Mask:  WSL_Mask 59.  You can get this from Weescotslass Creations here.

Plug ins: None

This tutorial was written using the supplies above.  If you are using a different tube or scrap kit you may need to make adjustments.  I am using a drop shadow of V/H 2 Opacity 50, blur 5, color black through out the tutorial unless otherwise state.

Open a new 600x600 transparent image.

Copy your tube and paste as a new layer and drop shadow.

Open element 9, copy and close the original.  Select raster 1 and paste.  Resize 80% and move to the far left.  Duplciate and mirror.

Open element 17, copy and close the original.  select the top grass layer and paste.

Open element 12, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 60% and move to the bottom slightly in front of the toast.  See mine for placement

Open element 10, copy and close the original.  Select raster 1 and paste.

Open element 29, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 40% and move to the upper left corner.  See mine for placement.

Open element 13, copy and close the original.  Select the top grass layer and paste.  Move up slightly.

Open element 27, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 40% and move to the bottom right corner just in front of the jam.

Open paper of choice.  I am using paper 9, copy and close the original.  Select raster 1 and paste.  Apply WSL mask 59 and merge group.

Add your name and copyright.  Save as png.

PTU: Here Wolf

Supplies needed

I am using PSP X4 but this tutorial should work with any version.

PTU Artist:  I am using the awesome artwork of Gaetano Di Falco. You can purchase this beauty at CDO here. Please do not use his artwork with out a proper license.  

PTU Scrap kit:  I am using a gorgeous kit called Dark and Naughty by Foxy Designz.  You can see it over at Foxy's blog here and Purchase it over at CDO here..  

Mask: WSL Mask 222.  You can get this mask at Weescotslass Creations here.  Thank you for creating these great masks.

This tutorial was written using the supplies above.  If you are using a different tube or scrap kit you may need to make adjustments.  I am using a drop shadow of V/H 2 Opacity 50, blur 5, color black through out the tutorial unless otherwise state.

Open a new 600x600 transparent raster image.

Open frame 4, copy and paste as a new layer.  Resize 80%.  Using your magic wand, click inside the frame.  Selections, modify, expand by 5.  Open and copy paper of choice.  I am using paper 2, paste as a new layer.  Selections, invert and hit delete on your keyboard.  Do not deselect.  Move the paper layer under the frame.

Selections, invert, selection, contract by 5, copy your close up tube and paste.  Move into a spot you like best,  Selections, invert and using your eraser tool, erase the bottom portion of the tube.  Select none.  Drop shadow the frame and tube.

Open element 15, copy and close the original.  Select the frame layer and paste.  Move up and to the right so it looks like it is sitting behind the tube.

Open eleement 38, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 80% and move to the bottom left.  Drop shadow.

Open element 30, copy and close the original.  Select the tube layer and paste.  Resize 60% and move to the bottom.

Open element 46, copy and close the original.  Select the ribbon layer and paste.  Move to the bottom.

Open element 45, copy and close the original.  Select the moon layer and paste.  Resize 60% and move to the top right.  See mine for placement.

Open element 42, copy and close the original.  Select the frame layer and paste.  Image, free rotate to the right 90 degrees and resize 70%.  Move to the left.

Open element 31, copy and close the original.  Select the moon layer and paste.  Resize 50% and move to the bottom left.

Open element 22, copy and close the original.  Select the black flower layer and paste.  Resize 50% and move to the bottom left just behind the cat.  See mine for placement.

Open element 19, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 35$ and move to the bottom right.

Open element 20, copy and close the original.  Select the cat layer and paste.  Resize 40% and move to the bottom left just behind the skull.  See mine for  placement.

Open element 17, copy and close the original.  Select the ribbon layer and paste.  Image, free rotate to the right 90 degrees and move to the bottom right.  See mine for placement.

Select raster 1, copy and paste paper of choice, I am using paper 12.  Layers, load/save mask, load mask from disk and find WSL mask 222.  Apply the mask and merge group.

PTU: Beach Babe

Open element 8, copy and close the original.  Paste as a new layer and resize 80%.  Move to the left, duplicate and mirror.

Copy your tube and paste as a new layer.  Drop shadow.

Open element 2, copy and close the original.  Select the top palm tree layer and paste.  Resize 30% and move to the bottom right corner.  Use your eraser tool to erase the bottom of the bottle so it looks like it is in the sand.

Open element 13, copy and close the original.  Select the raster layer and paste.

Open element 19, copy and close the original.  Select raster 1 and paste.

Open element 4, copy and close the original.  Select the hut layer and paste.  Move to the far right, duplicate and mirror.

Open element 9, copy and close the original.  Select the top palm tree layer and paste.  Resize 40% and move to the bottom left so it looks like it is up against the tree.  Drop shadow.

Open element 17, copy and close the original.  Select the top palm tree layer and paste.  Resize 25% and move under the pineapple.  See mine for placement.

Open element 25, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 30% and move to the upper left between the leaves of the tree, drop shadow and mirror.

Open WA2, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 70% and move to the bottom middle.  Drop shadow.

Select raster 1 and paste paper of choice.  I am using paper 1.  Apply WSL Mask 47, merge group.  Resize 105% all layers not checked.

Add your name and copyright.  Save as png.

PTU: Kiss

This tutorial was written using the supplies above.  If you are using a different tube or scrap kit you may need to make adjustments.  I am using a drop shadow of V/H 2 Opacity 50, blur 5, color black through out the tutorial unless otherwise state.

Open a new 600x600 transparent image.

Open frame 1, copy and close the original.  Paste as a new layer and resize 70% and move up and to the left.  Using your magic wand, click inside the frame.  Selections, modify, expand by 5,  Select the close up tube, copy and paste as a new layer.  Using your move tool, move it up so her eye is close the top of the frame.  Selections invert and hit delete on your keyboard.  Select none.  Move the tube under the frame.  Drop shadow the frame.  Change the blend mode on the tube layer to screen.  Don't worry it will have a neat effect once you apply your mask.

Open element 11, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  resize 70% and move down and to the right so it overlaps the frame.  See mine for placement.  Using your selections tool, set to circle, mode add (shift) feather 0 anti-alias checked.  Click in the center of the circle and make the selection as large as the metal circle.  Open paper of choice, I am using paper 6, copy and paste as a new layer.  Selections invert and hit delete on the keyboard.  select none.  Drop shadow the frame but change the color to white.  Repeat the drop shadow but change the V/H to -2.

Open your main tube and paste.  Resize 70% and move to the right.  Drop shadow.  Remember to change your color back to black and the V/H to 2.

Open element 25, copy and close the original.  Select the paper layer and paste.  Move down.  See mine for placement.  Drop shadow.

Open element 26, copy and close the original.  Select raster 1 and paste.  Move to the upper left corner.  See mine for placement.

Open element 29, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 60% and move to the left side of the square frame.  See mine for placement.

Open element 24, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 70% and move to the bottom and slightly to the left.  Drop shadow.  See mine for placement.

Open element 22, copy and close the original.  Select the square frame layer and paste.  Move to the right upper corner.  Using your deform tool, tilt it slightly to the right.  See mine for placement.

Open element 5, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 40% and move to the top left corner of the square frame.

Open element 31, copy and close the original.  Select the circle frame and paste as a new layer.  Move to the bottom.

Open element 27, copy and close the original.  Select the tube layer and paste.  Resize 40% and move tot the bottom just to the right of the teddy.  See mine for placement  Drop shadow.

Open element 35, copy and close the original.   Select the paper layer and paste.

Select raster 1, copy and paste paper of choice.  I am using paper 4, Layers, load/save mask, load mask from disk and apply WSL mask 309.  Merge group.

Add your name and copyright.  Save as png.

Open your tube, copy and paste as a new layer.  Move down slightly and drop shadow.

Open element 10, copy and close the original.  Select raster 1 and paste.  Resize 70% and move to the bottom.  Duplicate, flip, merge down, duplicate and flip.

Select the paper layer, Select all, float, defloat,  Open element 4, copy and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70% and move to the middle.  Selections invert and hit delete on the keyboard.  Select none.

Open element 18, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 30% and move to the bottom left corner of the tube.  Duplicate and mirror.

Open element 2, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 25% and move to the bottom left on top of the rose.  See mine for placement.  Duplicate and mirror.

Open element 1, copy and close the original.  Select your tube layer and paste.  Resize 50% and move to the bottom middle.  See mine for placement.

Open element 6, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 50% and move to the bottom left but closer to the middle.  See mine for placement.

Open element 5, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 40% and move to the bottom right closer to the middle.  see mine for placement.

Open element 12, copy and close the original.  Select the frame layer and paste.  Resize 70% and move to the right middle.  Duplicate and mirror.

Open element 21, copy and close the original.  Select the top ribbon layer and paste.

Open word art, copy and close the original.  Select your tube layer and paste.  Resize 60% and move down so the word art is over her arm.  See mine for placement.

Open element 8, copy and close the original.  Select the word art layer and paste.  Resize 40% and move to the bottom left so it covers up the end of the word art.  See mine for placement.

Select raster 1, copy and paste paper of choice.  I am using paper 2, Layers, load/save mask, load mask from disk and find WSL Mask 302.  Apply mask and merge group.  Duplicate and mirror.

Add your copyright and name.  Save as png.
