Cleopatra


This tutorial was written by me on June 7, 2017. The results are of my own imagination.  Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidental.

This was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP.

Please keep in mind that I write the tutorial as I am creating it.

Sometimes I may not explain properly where to place things so please see my example if you are ever in doubt :)

Supplies needed

I am using PSP X9 but this tutorial should work with any version.

PTU Tube:  I am using a gorgeous bonus tube called "Goddess Isis" created by Keith Garvey.  Please do not use this tubes without a proper licence.  
You can purchase Keith's tubes at his store here.  


PTU Kit:  I am using a gorgeous kit called "Cleopatra" created by Carita's Creationz.  You can purchase this gorgeous kit at Dee's sign depot store here

Mask:  Mask:  Vix's big mask 1.  You can download it from Vix's blog here.

Font of choice for your name.

Plug in: None

I am using a drop shadow (D/S) of V 0 H 5, Opacity 70, blur 10, color black throughout the tutorial unless otherwise stated.

Let's get started.

Open a new 750x750 transparent image.  We will resize later.

Open frame 6, copy and close the original.  Paste as a new layer.  Click inside the frame with you magic wand and expand the selection by 10.  Open paper one, copy and close the original.  Add a new raster layer.  Standing on the new layer, edit, paste into selection.  Select none and drop shadow the frame.

Open element 12, copy and close the original.  Select the frame layer and paste.  Resize 50% and move to the bottom left side of the frame.  Drop shadow.

Open element 16sh, copy and close the original.  Select the vase layer and paste.  Resize 70% and move to the bottom of the frame.  Drop shadow.

Copy your tube and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70% and drop shadow.  Move down so she looks like she is laying on the bottom of the frame and leaning on the word art.

Open element 28, copy and close the original.  Select the vase layer and paste.  Resize 60%.  Image, free rotate to the left by 15 degrees.  Move to the left in front of the vase.  Duplicate and resize 80% and move down slightly.  Drop shadow each layer.

Open element 4, copy and close the original.  Select the frame layer and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60% and drop shadow.  Move to the bottom center of the frame.

Open element 1, copy and close the original.  Select the frame layer and paste.  Resize 50% and move to the left side of the frame so it peeks out from the feathers.  Duplicate move to the lower right side of the frame so it peaks out from behind the tube.  Duplicate this layer and mirror.  Select the original leaf layer and duplicate and mirror.  Drop shadow each leaf layer.  See mine for placement.

Open element 14, copy and close the original.  Select the top feather layer and paste.  Resize 40% and move to down and slightly to the left.

Open element 37, copy and close the original.  Select the top leaf layer and paste.  Resize 35% and free rotate to the left 15 degrees.  Move to the left so it is in front the the feathers.  Drop shadow.

Open element 36, copy and close the original.  Select the top leaf layer and paste.  Resize 35% and move it down behind the jar and pillow.  Drop shadow.

Open element 41 copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 50% and move down so it looks like the bird is standing on the O.  Drop shadow.

Open element 40, copy and close the original.  Select the word art layer and paste.  Resize 50% and move to the top left.  Duplicate and mirror.  drop shadow each layer.

Open element 44, copy and close the original.  Select the top ivy layer and paste.  Resize 25% and move to the upper left side of the frame.  Duplicate and move to the right side and down a bit.  Drop shadow each layer.

Open element 19, copy and close the original.  Select the top butterfly layer and paste.  Resize 25% and move to the lower right side so it looks like it is resting on the leaf behind the tubes hair.  Drop shadow.

Open element 39, copy and close the original.  Select the frame layer and paste.  Resize 60% and move to the right side of the frame.  Duplicate and mirror.  Drop shadow each layer.

Paste element 39 again and resize 75% image free rotate to the right 90 degrees and move to the bottom of the frame.  Duplicate and merge down.  Drop shadow.

Open element 30, copy and close the original.  Select the tube layer and paste.  Resize 25% and move to the bottom left.  Drop shadow.

Open element 34, copy and close the original.  Select the tube layer and paste.  Resize 20% and move behind the perfume and hawk.  Drop shadow.

Open element 29, copy and close the original.  Select raster 1 and paste.  Drop shadow.

Open paper of choice.  I used paper 12, copy and close the original.  Add a new raster layer, select all and standing on the new layer, edit, paste into selection, select none.  Apply Vix big mask 1 and merge group.  Resize 90% and move up slightly.

Add any other elements you like.

Merge visible.

Select your crop tool and on the tool bar, click merge opaque and click ok.

Image resize by 600 pixels on the longest side, all layers checked.

Adjust, sharpness, unsharpen mask, radius 5, Strength 40, clipping 5.  Click ok.

Add your copyright and name.

Save as png.
