Summer retreat

This tutorial was written by me on July 23, 2012 and are the result of my own imagination. Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidental.

This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies needed.

I am using PSP X4 but this tutorial should work with any version.

PTU Tube: I am using the fantastic artwork of Ellie Milk. Please do not use her artwork without a proper license. You can purchase Ellie's tubes at PFD.

FTU Frame: I am using Hibiscus Cluster Frame by BKC Designs.
Thank you for creating this fantastic Cluster Frame. You can download it at her blog here.

Mask: WSL_mask153. You can down load it from Weescotslass Creations here. Save to your mask folder.

Plug ins: Eyecandy 4000 gradient glow.

This tutorial was written using the supplies above. If you are using a different tube or scrap kit you may need to make adjustments.

I am using a drop shadow of V/H 2 Opacity 50, blur 5 through out unless otherwise stated.

Ready? Here we go.

Open the Hibiscus Cluster Frame. Duplicate it (shift + D) and close the original.

Delete the copyright layer.

Using your magic wand, feather & Tolerance set to 0, Mode: add(shift), select inside
your fame. Make sure to select the little part beside the frame and palm tree on the right.
Selections>modify>expand by 25.

Copy your background from your tube, back to your frame, add a new raster layer, Make sure you are on your new layer. Edit>paste into selection. If you are using a color, flood fill this layer. Select none.

Select your frame and add a drop shadow.

Add a new raster layer and move to the bottom of your layer pallet.
Select a color from your frame or tube. I am using #feb549.
Load/save mask>load mask from disk and find WSL_mask 153. Invert not checked.  Load your mask and merge group.

Apply eyecandy gradient glow default settings but
on the basic tab change the glow width to 25.
This will give a nice glow like the sun. Image resize 110% all layers not checked.

Copy your main tube and paste as a new layer. Drag this layer to the top.
Image resize 25% all layers not checked. Add a drop shadow. Move to a spot you like best. I moved mine down and to the left a little so you see the turtle.

Once your are happy with your tag, add your name and copyright. Save as png.

I hope you enjoyed my tutorial. I would love to see your results.

Hugs,

Gwils
