Hop into Spring

This tutorial was written by me on March 18, 2013 and are the result of my own imagination. Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidental.

This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies needed

I am using PSP X4 but this tutorial should work with any version.

PTU Tube: I am using the fantastic artwork of Elias Chatzoudis. Please do not use his artwork without a proper license. You can purchase this tube here.

FTU Scrap kit: I am using Hop into Spring by Angela's Creationz. You can download it from her blog here. Thank you for creating these fantastic Kit.

Mask: WSL_mask 119 created by Weescotslass. You can download it here. Save to your mask folder.

Plug ins: None

This tutorial was written using the supplies above. If you are using a different tube or scrap kit you may need to make adjustments. I am using a drop shadow of V/H 2 Opacity 50, blur 5 through out unless otherwise stated.

Let's get started.

Open a new 600x600 transparent image.

Open frame 1, copy and close the original. Paste as a new layer and resize 90% all layers not checked.

Using your magic wand, click inside the frame. Selections, modify, expand by 2. Open paper of choice. I am using paper 4, copy and close the original. Paste as a new layer. Selections, invert and hit delete on your keyboard. Keep Selected. Copy your close up tube and paste as a new layer and duplicate. Using your move tool, move her into a spot you like best. Hit delete on your keyboard and select none. Change the blend mode to Luminance legacy and lower the opacity to 50%. Move the paper and tube layer under your frame and drop shadow the frame.

Open element 2, copy and close the original. Paste as a new layer and resize 15% and again by 80%. Move to the bottom left side of the frame and drop shadow.

Open element 8, copy and paste as a new layer, Resize 20% and move to the left of the frame. Move this layer under the basket layer.

Drop shadow. Duplicate x2 and arrange them so they are stacked behind on another. See mine for placement.

Open element 38, copy and close the original. Paste as a new layer and resize 20% and again by 60%. Move to the right side of the frame. Move this layer just above the frame layer.

Open your main tube. Copy and paste as a new layer. Resize 80% and move to the right side of your frame. Drop shadow. Duplicate and move this layer under your frame layer. Back to the top tube.

Using your eraser tool, erase the left boot so it looks like she is stepping over the frame.

Select raster 1, copy paper of choice. I am using paper 5, paste as a new layer and apply WSL mask 119, merge group and resize 105%.

Add the copyright and your name and save as png.

I hope you enjoyed my tutorial. I would love to see your results.

Hugs,

Gwils
