PTU: Autumn Butterfly

This tutorial was written by me on August 26, 2016. The results are of my own imagination.  Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidental.

This was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP.

Please keep in mind that I write the tutorial as I am creating it.

Sometimes I may not explain properly where to place things so please see my example if you are ever in doubt :)

Supplies needed

I am using PSP X9 but this tutorial should work with any version.

PTU Tube:  I am using a gorgeous tube called "Little Wish" created by Arthur Crowe.  Please do not use this tubes without a proper licence.

PTU Kit:  I am using Dance in the Rain's gorgeous kit called "Autumn Phoenix".  You can purchase this kit at Digi Diva's here

Mask:  Vix Big Mask 1.  You can download it here.

Font of choice for your name.

Plug in: None

I am using a drop shadow (D/S) of V/H 3, Opacity 50, blur 5, color black throughout the tutorial unless otherwise stated.

Let's get started.

Open a new 600x600 transparent image.  

Copy your tube and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60% and again by 90%.  Image, mirror and D/S.

Open paper of choice.  I am using paper 10, copy and close the original.  Select raster 1 and paste.  Layers, load/save mask and find Vix big mask 1 and apply the mask.  Merge group.  

Open element 18, copy and close the original.  Select the mask layer and paste.  Resize 70% and move to the bottom slightly to the left.  D/S

Open element 34, copy and close the original.  Select the mask layer and paste.  Resize 70%.  Move to the bottom center so it looks like your tube is standing on it.

Open element 65, copy and close the original.  Select the grass layer and paste.  Resize 70% and move to the bottom center.  D/S

Open element 68, copy and close the original.  Select the mask layer and paste.  Resize 60% and move to the far left.  D/S

Open element 66, copy and close the original.  Select the tree layer and paste.  Resize 50% and move to the left side in front of the tree.  See mine for placement.  D/S

Open element 73, copy and close the original.  Select the grass layer and paste.  Resize 50% and move to the lower right side.  D/S

Open element 79, copy and close the original.  Select the fire pit layer and paste.  Resize 50% and move to the top of the fire.  See mine for placement.

Open element 55, copy and close the original.  Select the mask layer and paste.  Resize 50% and move down and slightly to the right.  D/S

Open element 3, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 50% and move to the bottom center so it slightly covers the tubes shoe.  

Open element 15, copy and close the original.  Select the tube layer and paste.  Resize 15% and move to the bottom so it is in front of your tube.  D/S

Open element 21, copy and close the original.  Select the tree with the swing layer and paste  Resize 70% and move to the far left so it peeks out from behind the first tree.  D/S

Open element 56, copy and close the original.  Select the bottom leaf layer and paste.  Resize 40% and move down and slightly to the left so it is behind the tube.  Duplicate and resize 80%.  Move this layer under the fire pit layer and then move to the far right so it peeks out from behind the right side of the fire pit.  Duplicate again, mirror and move down and slightly to the left.  See mine for placement.

Open element 48, copy and close the original.  Select the cat layer and paste.  Resize 10% and again by 90%.  Move down and to the right so it looks like the cat is looking at it.  Use your deform tool and have it look like it is turned towards the tube.  D/S.  Duplicate and mirror.  Move to the top center of the two trees on the left.

Add your copyright and name.

Save as png.

PTU: Heard the Angel's Call

Supplies needed

PTU Kit:  I am using "Kathy's Elegant Dreams" created by ChocUkDesigns.  This gorgeous kit can be purchased at Digi Diva's here or at PFD here.

Font of choice for your name.  I am using an Angelic War.

I am using a drop shadow (D/S) of V/H 2, Opacity 50, blur 5, color black throughout the tutorial unless otherwise stated.

Let's get started.

Open a new 600x600 transparent image.

Copy your tube and paste as a new layer.  Resize 35% all layers not checked, adjust sharpness, sharpen. Duplicate, on the duplicate layer, adjust, blur, Gaussian blur set to 3 and then change the blend mode to soft light.  Select the original tube layer and D/S.  Select the top layer and merge down.

Open frame 13, copy and close the original.  Select raster 1 and paste.  Move your tube down slightly so it looks like it is sitting on it.  Using your magic wand, click inside the frame.  Selections, modify, expand by 3.  Select raster 1 and add a new raster layer.  Open paper of choice.  I am using paper 17, copy and close the original.  Standing on your new raster layer, edit, paste into selections.  Select none.  D/S the frame.

Open element 24, copy and close the original.  Select the paper layer and paste.  Resize 60% and move down slightly.  (see mine for placement.  Duplicate and flip and mirror.  Standing on the paper layer, select all, float, defloat.  Select the first glitter layer and hit delete on your keyboard.  Repeat for the second glitter layer.  Select none.

Open element 90, copy and close the original.  Select the frame layer and paste.  Move to the bottom center, duplicate and merge down.  Duplicate one more time and merge down.

Open element 91, copy and close the original.  Select the cloud layer and paste.  Move up about 1/2 way on the wings.

Open element 92, copy and close the original.  Select the top cloud layer and paste.  Move to the bottom so it peeks up from the first cloud.  See mine for placement.

Open element 55, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 30% and move to the bottom left so it is sitting on the cloud and covers the bottom portion of the tube's wing.

Open element 72, copy and close the original.  Select the top cloud layer and paste.  Resize 30% and mirror.  Move to the bottom right. and D/S.

Open element 15, copy and close the original.  Select the rose layer and paste.  Resize 50%.  Move to the far left side.   See mine for placement.  D/S

Open element 20, copy and close the original.  Select the top cloud layer and paste.  Resize 40% and move to the bottom right of the frame.  D/S

Open element 123, copy and close the original.  Select the top cloud layer and paste.  Resize 70% and move to the left side of the frame.  D/S

Open element 200 (13), copy and close the original.  Select the rose cluster layer and paste.  Resize 30% and move to the left almost beside the rose.  D/S

Open element 200 (12), copy and close the original.  Select the candle layer and paste.  Resize 60% and move to the right so it peeks out from behind the violin and tube.  D/S

Open paper of choice.  I am using paper 6, copy and close the original.  Select raster 1 and paste.  Apply WSL mask 119 and merge group.  Resize 105%.

Add any other elements you like.

Add your copyright and name. 

Save as png.
