PTU: Simplicity

This tutorial was written by me on June 25, 2016. The results are of my own imagination.  Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidental.

Please DO NOT claim this tutorial as your own.

This was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP.

Please keep in mind that I write the tutorial as I am creating it.

Sometimes I may not explain properly where to place things so please see my example if you are ever in doubt :)

Supplies needed

I am using PSP X8 but this tutorial should work with any version.

PTU Tube:  I am using a gorgeous tube called "Esther" created by Misticheskaya.  Please do not use this tubes without a proper licence.
You can purchase this beauty at PFD store here.

PTU Kit:  I am using Dance in the Rain's gorgeous kit called "Simplicity".  You can purchase this gorgeous kit at Digi Diva's kit here

Check out her blog here

Mask:  WSL mask 277.  You can download it from Weescotslass Creations blog here.

Font of choice for your name.  I used PW Hand script.

Plug in: None

I am using a drop shadow (D/S) of V/H 2, Opacity 50, blur 5, color black throughout the tutorial unless otherwise stated.

Let's get started.

Open a new 650x650 transparent image.  We will resize later.

Copy your tube and paste as a new layer.  Resize 35% and again by 95% all layers not checked.  Duplicate your tube.  On the duplicate tube, Adjust, blur, Gaussian blur set to 3 and then change the blend mode to soft light.  Select the bottom tube layer and D/S.  Select the duplicate layer then merge down.

Open element 182, copy and close the original.  Select raster 1 and paste. Resize 60% and move to the bottom center so it looks like the tube is sitting on it.  D/S.

Open element 54, copy and close the original.  Select raster 1 and paste.  Resize 40%, free rotate 25 degrees to the right.  Move to the right side.  Using your magic wand, click inside the frame.  Selections, modify, expand by 5.  Open paper of choice.  I am using paper 11, copy and close the original.  Select raster 1 and add a new raster layer, edit, paste into selections.  Select none and D/S the frame.

Open element 69, copy and close the original.  Select the frame layer and paste.  Resize 15% and move to the upper right side of the frame so it looks like they are on the ribbon.  D/S

Open element 74, copy and close the original.  Select the frame layer and paste.  Resize 30% and move to the bottom right so the base is slightly covered by the flowers.  D/S

Open element 105, copy and close the original.  Select raster 1 and paste.  Resize 60% and move to the far right.  D/S, duplicate.  Resize the duplicate by 80%.

Open element 111, copy and close the original.  Select the dove layer and paste.  Resize 30% and move to the bottom right so it covers the bark.  D/S

Open element 107, copy and close the original.  Select raster 1 and paste.  Resize 75% and move down slightly.  D/S, duplicate and flip.

Open element 130, copy and close the original.  Select the bottom bark layer and paste.  Resize 60% and move to the right so it overlaps the bark.  D/S

Open element 216, copy and close the original.  Select raster 1 and paste.  Resize 70% and move up slightly.

Open element 263, copy and close the original.  Select the flower cluster layer and paste.  Resize 40% and move to the bottom left.  D/S

Open element 250, copy and close the original.  Select the bottom leaf cluster and paste.  Resize 70%.

Open element 122, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 15% and D/S.  Move to the top left of the cage.

Open element 81, copy and close the original.  Select the Flower cluster layer and paste.  Resize 30% and move to the bottom left behind the cage.  D/S

Open element 78, copy and close the original.  Resize by 35% and again by 80%.  Image, mirror and D/S.  Move to the bottom center.

Open element 233, copy and close the original.   Select the top leaf cluster and paste. Resize 70%.

Open element 70, copy and close the original.  Select the tube layer and paste.  Resize 25% and move to the bottom so it is under the violin.  D/S, duplicate and move this layer under the cage layer and then move to the left so it covers the bottom portion of the fan.

Open paper of choice.  I am using paper 2, copy and close the original.  Select raster 1 and apply WSL mask 277 and merge group.

Now we need to resize before adding the copyright.

Image, resize 600 pixels, all layers checked.

Merge visible.

Adjust, sharpness, sharpen.

Add your copyright and name.

Save as png.

I hope you have enjoyed my tutorial.  I would love to see your results.

Hugs,

Gwils
