PTU: Paradise

This tutorial was written by me on June 6, 2016. The results are of my own imagination.  Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidental.

This was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP.

Please keep in mind that I write the tutorial as I am creating it.

Sometimes I may not explain properly where to place things so please see my example if you are ever in doubt :)

Supplies needed

I am using PSP X8 but this tutorial should work with any version.

Animation Shop (optional)

PTU Tube:  I am using a gorgeous tube called "Lola" created by 
Alehandra Vanhek.  Please do not use this tubes without a proper licence.  
You can purchase this beauty at Digi Diva's store here.  

PTU Kit:  I am using a fantastic matching kit called "Lola" created by ChocUKDesigns.  You can purchase this awesome kit at Digi Divas Store here.  *Tube is not included*

Mask: WSL mask 255.  You can download it from Weescotslass Creations blog here.

Font of choice for your name.

Plug in: Xenofex 2, Constellations.

I am using a drop shadow (D/S) of V/H 2, Opacity 50, blur 5, color black throughout the tutorial unless otherwise stated.

Let's get started.

Open a new 600x600 transparent image.

Copy your tube and paste as a new layer.  Resize 35% all layers not checked, adjust, sharpness, sharpen.  D/S.  Objects, align, center in canvas.

Open frame 6, copy and close the original.  Select raster 1 and paste.  Resize 70%.

Open frame 5, copy and close the original.  Select the blue frame and paste.  Resize 70%.  Duplicate this frame x2 so you have a total of 3 heart frames.  Rename the layers, starting from the bottom up, Sparkle 1, 2 and 3.  (Only duplicate if you want to animate).

Using your magic wand, (settings are Mode, add shift, Match mode, RGB Value, Tolerance and Feather set to 0, Contiguous and Anti-alias checked).  Select the blue frame and click inside it.  Selections, modify, expand by 5.

Open paper of choice.  I am using paper 7, copy and close the original.  Select raster 1 and add a new raster layer.  Edit, paste into selection.  Select none and D/S the blue frame.

Open element 48, copy and close the original.  Select raster 1 and paste.  Move to the bottom center so it looks like the tube is standing in it.  D/S

Open element 45, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 40% and move to the bottom center.  D/S

Open element 76, copy and close the original.  Select the tube layer and paste.  Resize 50% and move to the bottom left so it looks like it is standing on the edge and the petals are falling off.  D/S, duplicate and mirror.

Open element 84, copy and close the original.  Select Sparkle 3 layer and paste.  D/S, duplicate and move this layer above the tube layer.  Resize 40% and move behind the left cupid.  Duplicate and mirror.

Open element 83, copy and close the original.  Select the pond layer and paste.  Resize 30%.  Move to the bottom left so the leaf just touches the side of the pond.  Duplicate and mirror.

Open element 81, copy and close the original.  Select raster 1 and paste.  Resize 70% and move to the far left.  Duplicate and mirror.

Open element 80, copy and close the original.  Select the top cupid layer and paste.  Resize 70%, Image, free rotate 90 degrees to the left.  Move to the bottom right so it goes to the edge of the pond.  D/S, duplicate and mirror.

Open element 70, copy and close the original.  Select the tree layer behind the tube.  Paste and move to the bottom center.

Open element 7, copy and close the original.  Select sparkle 3 layer and paste.  Resize 70% and move to the upper left so the large butterfly is just slightly to the left of the tubes head. D/S, duplicate and resize 70%.  Adjust, sharpness, sharpen and move to the right side.

Open element 8, copy and close the original.  Select the top vine layer and paste.  Resize 20% and move to the bottom right so it just covers the bottom of the cupid.  D/S, Duplicate and mirror.

Open element 34, copy and close the original.  Select the top rose and paste.  Resize 20% and move to the right so it overlaps the rose slightly.  D/S, duplicate and mirror.

Open paper of choice.  I am using paper 2, copy and close the original.  Select raster 1 and paste.  Apply WSL Mask 255 and merge group.

Open element 41, copy and close the original.  Select the mask layer and paste.  Resize 80% and move up to the top slightly to the left so you see the cloud above the frame.

Open element 40, copy and close the original.  Select the mask layer and paste.  Resize 80% and move to the upper right.

Add any other elements you like.

Add your copyright and name.

If you do not want to animate, save as png.

Animation:

Select raster 1 and flood fill with white.

Close off sparkle 2 and 3 by clicking on the eye of each layer.

Select sparkle 1 layer and apply Xenofex 2, constellation with the following settings:


Hide sparkle 1 and open sparkle 2,

Repeat the constellation but hit Random Seed.  

Repeat the above steps for sparkle 3.

Open Animation Shop.

Back to psp.

Hide sparkle 2 and 3 and unhide sparkle 1.

Edit, copy special, copy merged.

Back to animation shop.  

Paste as new animation, ctrl + v

Back to psp.

Hide sparkle 1 and unhide sparkle 2.

Edit, copy special, copy merged.

Back to animation shop.

Edit paste after current frame.  ctrl + shift + L.

Repeat the above steps for Sparkle 3.

Now that you have 3 frames, save as gif.
