PTU: Pirates Dream

This tutorial was written by me on May 29, 2016. The results are of my own imagination.  Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidental.

Please DO NOT claim this tutorial as your own.

This was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP.

Please keep in mind that I write the tutorial as I am creating it.

Sometimes I may not explain properly where to place things so please see my example if you are ever in doubt :)

Supplies needed

I am using PSP X8 but this tutorial should work with any version.

PTU Tube:  I am using an awesome tube called "Pirate" created by
VeryMany.  Please do not use these tubes without a proper licence.
You can purchase VeryMany's tubes here.

PTU Kit:  I am using a matching scrapkit called "Captain's Beauty" by Pink Paradox Productions.  You can purchase this gorgeous kit here

Mask:  WSL Mask 247 created by WeeScotsLass Creations.  You can download it from her blog here.

Font of choice: I used Pristina for my name.

I am using a drop shadow (D/S) of V/H 2, Opacity 50, blur 5, color black throughout the tutorial unless otherwise stated.

Let's get started.

Open a new 650x650 transparent image.  We will resize later.

Copy your main tube and paste.  Resize 40%, all layers not checked.  Adjust, sharpness, sharpen and D/S.

Open paper of choice.  I am using paper 20, copy and close the original.  Select raster 1 and add a new raster layer.  Standing on the new layer, select all, edit paste into selections.  Apply WSL mask 247 and merge group.

Open element 151, copy and close the original.  Select the mask layer and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60% and move down and to the right slightly.

Open element 146, copy and close the original.  Select the mask layer and paste.  Resize 50% and move up to the top of the mask.

Open element 12, copy and close the original.  Select the moon layer and paste.  Resize 70% and move to the top middle.  D/S

Open element 130, copy and close the original.  Select the moon layer and paste.  Resize 30% and mirror.  Move to the far left.  D/S.

Open element 148, copy and close the original.  Select the wave layer and paste.  Resize 60% and move to the bottom center.

Open element 156, copy and close the original.  Select the tube layer and paste.  Resize 50% and move to the bottom center.

Open element 150, copy and close the original.  Select the sand layer and paste.  Resize 50% and move to the bottom left corner, duplicate and mirror.

Open element 142, copy and close the original.  Select the wave layer and paste.  Resize 50% and mirror.  Move to the left so you can see the splash just above the sand layer.

Open element 108, copy and close the original.  Select the sand layer and paste.  Resize 50% and mirror.  Move to the left so the flag is just behind the parrot.  D/S

Open element 80, copy and close the original.  Select the top grass layer and paste.  Resize 35% and move to the bottom left corner.  D/S

Open element 52, copy and close the original.  Select the sand layer and paste. Resize 25% and move to the bottom right so it is peeking out from behind the tube.  D/S

Open element 98, copy and close the original.  Select the sand layer and paste.  Resize 35% and mirror.  Move to the bottom right.  D/S

Open element 99, copy and close the original.  Select the treasure chest layer and paste.  Resize 20% and move to the bottom right just in front of the cannon.  D/S

Open element 117, copy and close the original.  Select the treasure chest layer and paste.  Resize 20% and move to the far bottom right so it peeks out from under the cannon balls.  Duplicate and move up and to the left so it peeks out between the cannon balls and barrel.

Open element 13, copy and close the original.  Select the ship layer and paste.  Resize 20% and move to the left side close to the mask layer edge.  D/S

Select the splash layer that is covering the boat.  Duplicate, mirror and resize 30% and move it to the left so it is in front of the octopus.

Open element 179, copy and close the original.  Select the sand layer and paste.  Resize 30% and move to the bottom left so it peeks out from behind the treasure chest.  D/S

Open element 177, copy and close the original.  Select the bottom grass layer and paste.  Resize 20% and D/S, move to the bottom right so it peeks out from behind the tube layer just in front of the barrel.  Duplicate, mirror and move to the right so it is under the cannon balls.  Duplicate again and move to the left so it peeks out just to the left of the cannon balls.

Open element 182, copy and close the original.  Select the black leaf layer and paste as a new layer.  Resize 20% and move to the bottom left so it is peeking out from behind the treasure chest.  D/S
