PTU: Ocean Treasures

This tutorial was written by me on February 7, 2015 and are the results of my own imagination.  Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidental.

Please DO NOT claim this tutorial as your own.

This was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP.

Please keep in mind that I write the tutorial as I am creating it.

Supplies needed.

I am using PSP X4 but this tutorial should work with any version.

PTU Tube:  I am using a gorgeous tube called Xira created by Spazzd Art.  Please do not use her tubes without a proper licence.  You can purchase this beauty at her store here.

PTU Kit:  I am using an awesome kit called Splash by Mellie Beans.  This beautiful kit has 70 elements and 10 papers.  You can purchase this kit at Spazzdart here

Mask:  WSL Mask 116.  You can download it from her blog here.  Thank you for the awesome masks.  Open the mask in psp and minimize.

Font: of choice for your name.

I am using a drop shadow of V/H 3, Opacity 50, blur 5, color black through out the tutorial unless otherwise stated.

Let's get started.

Open a new 600x600 transparent image.

Open paper of choice.  I am using paper 5. copy and close the original.  Select raster 1 and paste.  Apply WSL mask 116 but don't merge group.  Copy your tube, select the top layer and paste.  Resize 70% and move to the spot you like best.  I move mine to the right and up.  Once happy with placement, move this layer under the mask layer.  Change the blend mode on the tube layer to soft light and merge group.

Select the top layer and paste.  Your tube should still be in the memory,  Resize 25% and mirror.  Drop shadow.  Move to the bottom.

Open element 57, copy and close the original.  Select the mask layer and paste.  Resize 70% and move to the bottom so it looks like the tube is sitting on it.

Open element 37, copy and close the original.  Select the mask layer and paste.  Resize 40% and move to the upper left and drop shadow.

Open element 44,  copy and close the original.  Select the mask layer and paste.  Resize 60% and flip.  Move to the bottom left and drop shadow.  See mine for placement.

Open element 50, copy and close the original.  Select the sand layer and paste.  Resize 70% and move to the bottom right.  Drop shadow.  see mine for placement.

Open element 01, copy and close the original.  Select the anchor layer and paste.  Resize 30% and drop shadow.  Move to the bottom left corner.  See mine for placement.

Open element 35, copy and close the original.  Select the anchor layer and paste.  Resize 30% and move to the bottom middle.  See mine for placement.  Drop shadow.

Open element 30, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 30% and move to the bottom left so it just sits in front of the mermaid's bottom.  Drop shadow.  See mine for placement.

Open element 39, copy and close the original.  Select the net layer and paste.  Resize 60% and move to the bottom right.  See mine for placement.  Drop shadow.

Open element 2, copy and close the original.  Select the mask layer and paste.  Resize 55%.

Open element 53, copy and close the original.  Select the tube layer and paste.  Resize 20% and move to the bottom left so it covers the right side of her bottom and peaks out from behind the shell.  See mine for placement.  Drop shadow.  Duplicate and move to the far right and move this layer just above the anchor.  See mine for placement.

Add any other elements you like.

Add your copyright and name.  Save as png.

I hope you have enjoyed my tutorial.  I would love to see your results.

Hugs,

Gwils
