PTU Mermaid Dreams

This tutorial was written by me on March 2, 2013 and are the result of my own imagination. Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidental.

This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of  PSP.

Supplies needed

I am using PSP X4 but this tutorial should work with any version.

PTU Tube:  I am using the fantastic artwork of Joanne Schempp.  Please do not use her artwork without a  proper license.   You can purchase this gorgeous tube at CDO here.

PTU scrap kit:  I am using Inspired by Joanne Schempp 15-1 by LadyHawwk/ LHD Scraps.  Thank you for creating this gorgeous kit.  You can purchase this gorgeous kit at CDO here

Check out LadyHawwk's blog here.

Mask: None

Plug ins: AAA Frames/foto frame

This tutorial was written using the supplies above.  If you are using a different tube or scrap kit you may need to make adjustments.  I am using a drop shadow of V/H 2 Opacity 50, blur 5, color black through out the tutorial unless otherwise state.

Open a new 600x250 transparent image.

Open paper of choice.  I am using paper 6, copy and paste as a new layer.  I moved mine up a bit.

Copy your tube and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60% and move to the right side of your banner.  See mine for placement.  drop shadow.

Open element 2, copy and paste as a new layer.  Move to the left side and move up.  See mine for placement.  Drop shadow.

Open element 11, copy and paste as a new layer.  Mirror.  Move this layer above your paper layer.

Open element 24, copy and paste as a new layer.  Resize 40% and using your deform tool tilt it a bit to the left.  Move this under the lighthouse layer on the left side of your banner.  See mine for placement.

Select your paper layer.  Open element 15 and paste as a new layer.

Open your second tube. (the one that is on Raster 1) copy and paste as a new layer.  Move this layer above your paper layer and change the blend mode to overlay or a blend you like best.

Merge visible.  select your crop tool and click on merge opaque.

Click the green check mark or hit enter on your keyboard.

Effects, AAA frames, foto frame.  Clicked on the drop down where it said default and chose teal for a setting.

Shift + D to duplicate you banner as we need it for the Avatar.

Add your name and copyright to the original and save as png.

Avatar

Maximize your duplicate banner.  Select your crop tool and change the width and height to 150.  Click the green check mark or hit enter on the keyboard.  Apply AAA Frame, foto frame with the same settings.

Add your copyright and initial and save as png.

I hope you enjoyed my tutorial.

I would love to see your results.

Hugs
