PTU: Black Beauty

This tutorial was written by me on March 11, 2013 and are the result of my own imagination. Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidental.

This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies needed

I am using PSP X4 but this tutorial should work with any version.

PTU Tube:  I am using the fantastic artwork of Gaetano DiFalco. Please do not use this artwork without a  proper license.  You can puchase this gorgeous tube at CDO here.

PTU scrap kit:  I am using Black Beauty Mini by Crazy Carita.  Thank you for creating this gorgeous kit.  You can purchase this at CDO here

Check out Carita's blog here.

Mask: None

Plug ins: none.

This tutorial was written using the supplies above.  If you are using a different tube or scrap kit you may need to make adjustments.  I am using a drop shadow of V/H 2 Opacity 50, blur 5, color black through out the tutorial unless otherwise state.

Open a new 600x600 transparent image.

Element 14, copy and close the original.  Paste as a new layer and drop shadow.

Open element 1, copy and close the original.  Paste as a new layer, Image, mirror and change your blend mode to Hard light and lower the opacity to 60.

Open your close up tube, copy and paste as a new layer.  Resize 90% and drop shadow.

Open element 8, copy and close the original.  Paste as a new layer.  Resize 80% and move to the lower left corner.  Duplicate and mirror.

Open element 9, copy and close the original.  Paste as a new layer and resize 70% and move to the bottom.  Drop shadow.

Open element 12, copy and close the original.  Paste as a new layer and resize 70%.  Move to the bottom middle and drop shadow.

Open element 6, copy and close the original.  Select the cat layer and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70% and move to the top of the book.

Open element 10, copy and close the original.  Paste as a new layer and move to the bottom just below the top of the ivy.  See mine for placement.

Open element 13, copy and close the original.  Select raster 1 and paste as a new layer.  Image, flip and move to the top left corner.  Duplicate and mirror.  See mine for placement.

Open element 11, copy and close the original.  Paste as a new layer and move between the 2 doodles and peaking out from above the book.  See mine for placement.

Open element 20, copy and close the original.  Select your top layer and paste as a new layer.  Resize 40%, Image, free rotate to the left 25 degrees all layers not checked.  Move to the top left corner and drop shadow.

Open element 21, copy and close the original.  Select the layer under your tube and paste as a new layer.  I used my deform tool to tilt it slightly to the left.  Image resize 60% and move just above the ivy.

Open element 30, copy and close the original.  Select your top layer and paste as a new layer.  Move to the bottom right corner and drop shadow.  See mine for placement.

Open element 11 again, copy and close the original.  Select your pillow layer and paste as a new layer.  Image resize 40% and drop shadow.  Move this to the top of your pillow.  Duplicate and mirror.   Move this to the lower right in behind the K.  See mine for placement.

Add your copyright and name.

I hope you enjoyed my tutorial.  I would love to see your results.

Hugs,

Gwils
