PTU: Witch it up

This tutorial was written by me on September 29, 2012 and are the result of my own imagination. Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidental.
This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of  PSP.

Supplies needed.

I am using PSP X4 but this tutorial should work with any version.

PTU Tube:  I am using the fantastic artwork of Eugene Rzhevshii.  Please do not use his artwork without a  proper license.  This is an Exclusive tube and can be purchased at PFD.

PTU scrap kit:  I am using Halloween Night by Scraps Dimensions.  Thank you for creating this fantastic kit.  You can view it at her blog here or purchase it at PFD here.

Mask:  VIX big mask 018. You can download it here.  Thank you Vix for making these fantastic masks.  Save this to your mask folder.

Plug ins: none

Font of choice.  I am using Rocky AOE

This tutorial was written using the supplies above.  If you are using a different tube or scrap kit you may need to make adjustments.  I am using a drop shadow of V/H 2 Opacity 50, blur 5, color black through out the tutorial unless otherwise state.

Open a new 600x600 transparent image.

Open paper of choice.  I am using paper 6.  Copy and close the original.  Paste as a new layer.  Layers>load/save mask>load mask from disk and find Vix big mask 018.  Apply the mask and merge group.

Open your tube copy and paste as a new layer.  Image resize 60% all layers not checked.  Repeat.  Drop shadow.

We will be adding elements around the tube.  See my example for placement.

Select your mask layer.  I used the following elements:

Element 11:  Copy and close the original.  Paste as a new layer and resize 60%, all layers not checked and again by 80%.  Image mirror and move to the right upper middle.

Element 8:  Copy and close the original.  Paste as a new layer and resize by 60%.  Drop shadow.

Element 7:  Copy and close the original.  Select your top layer and paste as a new layer.  Image resize 25% and move to the bottom right corner.  Drop shadow.

Element 9:  Copy and close the original.  Select the tree layer and paste as a new layer.  Image resize 40% and move to the right.

Element 20:  Copy and close the original.  Select your top layer and paste as a new layer.  Image resize 25% and move to the bottom left corner.  Drop shadow.

Add any other elements you like.  Once you are happy with your results, add your copyright and name.  Save as png and your done.

I hope you enjoyed my tutorial and I would love to see your results.

Hugs

Gwils
