PTU Timless Love




This tutorial was written by me on July 30, 2012 and are the result of my
own imagination. Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidental.
This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies needed.

I am using PSP X4 but this tutorial should work with any version.

PTU Tube:  I am using the fantastic artwork of Keith Garvey.  Please do not
use his artwork without a  proper license.  You can purchase this at PTE
PTE will be closing effect August 31, 2012

PTU scrap kit:  I am using Timeless love in pink by Baby Cakes Scraps.  Thank you for creating
this fantastic kit.  You can view it at her blog here
or purchase it a her store here.

Script font of choice.

This tutorial was written using the supplies above.  If you are using a different
tube or scrap kit you may need to make adjustments.

I am using a drop shadow of V/H 2 Opacity 50 Blur 5 black though out
unless otherwise stated.

New image 600x250 transparent.

Open paper seven, copy and close the original.

Back to your working image.  Select all and paste into selection.

Open your main tube, copy and paste as a new layer.  Image>resize 90%
and move the the right.  See mine for placement.  Add a drop shadow.

Open element 27, copy and close the original.  Select your paper layer
and paste.  Image>resize 60%, add a drop shadow.  Move this to the
left side by the bottom.  See mine for placement.

Open element 78, copy and close the original. Select your paper layer
and paste.  Image>resize 40% and move to the top left.  Duplicate>
Image mirror.

Open element 105, copy and close the original.  Edit>paste as a new layer.
Image>mirror.

Open element 86, copy and close the original.  Edit>paste as a new layer
and move to the right behind your tube's bottom.  See mine for placement.

Open element 97, copy and close the original.  Edit>paste as a new layer
and bring this layer to the top.  Image>resize 40%, Image>mirror and
move this on top of your tubes bottom.  Add a drop shadow.

Open element 73, copy and close the original.  Edit>paste as a new raster layer.
Move close to the bottom. (see mine for placement).  Select all, float, defloat,
modify>expand by 3.  Add a new raster layer and flood fill with a gold pattern.
or if you don't have one fill with #e2d59b and add noise.
Select none.

Select your top layer.  Add a new raster layer.  Select all>selections modify>
contract by 6, Selections invert and fill with black. Select none,

Select all>selections modify>
contract by 3, Selections invert and fill with your gold pattern. Select none,

Add your name and copyright, save as png and your done.

Avitar.

Duplicate your banner (shift + D).  Delete your copyright, name & border layers.
Merge visible.  Select your crop tool and crop by 150x150.
A crop box will appear.  Move this box around until you find a spot you like.
Once happy with placement, click your green check mark.

Repeat the steps for your border but change it to 5 for the black &
2 for your gold.

Add your copyright and name or initial. Save as png.

PTU: Pink It Up Form Set



This tutorial was written by me on July 26, 2012 and are the result of my
own imagination. Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidental.
This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies needed.

I am using PSP X4 but this tutorial should work with any version.

PTU Tube:  I am using the fantastic artwork of Keith Garvey.  Please do not use his artwork without a  proper license.   You can now purchase Keith's tubes here.

PTU scrap kit:  I am using Cotton Candy by Baby Cakes Scraps.  Thank you for creating this fantastic kit.  You can view it at her blog here  or purchase it a her store here.

This tutorial was written using the supplies above.  If you are using a different tube or scrap kit you may need to make adjustments. 
I am using a drop shadow of V/H 2, Opacity 50, blur 5 color black through out unless otherwise
stated.

Open a new 600x250 transparent image.

Open Pink Lace paper.  Copy and close the original.

Back to your working image.  Select all (ctrl + A)>Edit>paste into selection.
Select none (ctrl + D).

Open your tube, if you are using the same one as I am, I used the middle tube.
Copy and paste as a new layer.  Move your tube down so you see her face.
See mine for placement. Add a drop shadow.

Open Pink Lilly.  Copy and close the original.  Select your bottom layer of your working image and paste as a new layer.  Image resize 50% all layers not checked and move to the right.  See mine for placement.

Open Pink Sunflower.  Copy and close the original.  Paste as a new layer.
Move this layer just above your paper layer and place behind your tube.
See mine for placement.

Open Pink bfly.  Copy and close the original.  Paste as a new raster layer and move this above your sunflower.
Image resize 75% all layers not checked.  Image mirror and move to the left side.
See mine for placement.  Add a drop shadow.

Select your bottom layer, select all (ctrl + A), Image crop to selection.

Select your top layer and add a new raster layer.  Select all (ctrl + A)
Selections>modify>Select selection boarders with the following settings:
Both sides checked, Anti-alias checked, boarder width 5.  Click ok.
Select a color from your tag.  I am using #f16c92 and flood fill your selection.
Keep selected.  Adjust>add remove noise, Gaussian, Monochrome checked noise 75%.
Keep selected.  Effects>3d effects and add the following drop shadow.
V/H 1, opacity 100, Blur 1 color #a1596a.  Repeat drop shadow but change the V/H to -1.

Add your name and copyright and save as png.  Do not close it.
Duplicate your tag and close the original.

We will be using the duplicate for the Avatar.

Close off the boarder and copyright layer.  Crop to 150x150 and move your crop box to a spot you like and click ok.  Merge visible.

Select all and add a new raster layer.
Selections>modify>Select selection boarders with the following settings:
Both sides checked, Anti-alias checked, boarder width 3.  Click ok.
Select a color from your tag.  I am using #f16c92 and flood fill your selection.

PTU: Indian Summer



This tutorial was written by me on July 22, 2012 and are the result of my own imagination. Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidental.

This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies needed.

I am using PSP X4 but this tutorial should work with any version.

PTU Tube:  I am using the Gorgeous artwork of Barbara Jensen.  Please do not use her artwork without a  proper license.  You can purchase this at Barbara's store here.

PTU scrap kit:  I am using Indian Summer by Baby Cakes Scraps.  Thank you for creating this fantastic kit.  You can view it at her blog here.
The store she sold at is now closed.  Please check her blog for updates.

Mask: Vix bigmask 1.  You can download it here.  Thank you Vix for making these fantastic masks.

Plug ins:  None

Font:  I am using Jellyfish. You can download it here.

This tutorial was written using the supplies above.  If you are using a different
tube or scrap kit you may need to make adjustments.

I am using a drop shadow of V/H 2 Opacity 50 blur 5 through out unless otherwise state.

Open new 600x600 Image.

Open paper of choice:  I am using paper four.  Copy and close the orginal.  Select raster 1 and paste as a new layer.  Layers>load/save mask>load mask from disk>find the Vix big mask 1>invert now checked and merge group.

Copy your tube and paste as a new layer.  Image>resize 90%. Add a drop shadow.

Open Round frame.  Copy and close the original. Select your mask layer and paste.  Image resize 90%.  Using your magic wand, click inside your frame.  Selections>invert.
Select your eraser tool>standing on your tube layer, erase the bottom portion of your tube.
Select none.  Select your frame layer again with your magic wand.  Selections modify>expand by 2.  Open paper four and paste as a new layer.  Selections invert and standing on your paper layer hit delete on your keyboard. Select none.  Move this under your frame layer.Add a drop shadow to your frame.

Time for some elements.  Use any element you like or use the ones I used.  See mine for placement.

I used the following:

Remember to copy and close the original.

Stem:  Paste and moved to the left of the frame.  drop shadow.


Ribbon: Paste and resize 50% and again by 80%, move this to the
bottom of your frame and add a drop shadow.


Leaf:  Paste as resize 40% move under your ribbon layer and to
the bottom left of your frame.


Leaf 2: Paste as resize 30% move this on top of your leaf layer and move above your ribbon layer.


Flower Four:  Paste and resize 50% move to the bottom left of your frame above the stem layer.

Add any other elements you wish.

Once your happy with your tag.  Add your name and copyright and save as png.

PTU Romance me

Here is what we will me making.  You will find the animated image at the end.

This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies needed.

I am using PSP X4 but this tutorial should work with any version.
Animation Shop

PTU Tube:  I am using the fantastic artwork of Jennifer Janesko.  Please do not use her artwork without a  proper license.  I purchased mine through CILM.
You can purchase her artwork at CDO.

PTU scrap kit:  I am using Romance Me (FS) by Baby Cakes Scraps.  Thank you for creating this fantastic kit.  You can view it at her blog here or purchase it a her store here.

Mask:  Vix mask 363.  You can get it here. Save this to your mask folder.

Plug ins: Xenofex 2 constellation.

This tutorial was written using the supplies above.  If you are using a different
tube or scrap kit you may need to make adjustments.

I am using Drop shadow V/H 2 Opacity 50 Blur 5 through out unless otherwise stated.

Here we go.

Open a new 600x600 image.

Open Brown Frame.  Copy & close the original.  Paste as a new layer.
Image>resize 25% all layers not checked.

Open your tube.  Copy and close the original. Paste as a new raster layer.
Add a drop shadow.  Select your magic wand and click inside your frame.
Selections>invert.  Back to your tube layer. Select your eraser tool and
erase the bottom portion of your tube so it looks like she is popping out of the frame.
See my example.
Deselect.

Select your frame layer.  Using your magic wand, click in the center.
Selections modify>expand by 4.  Select Raster 1 layer (it should be blank)
open paper of choice, I am using Damask paper.  Copy & close the original.
Edit paste into selection, select none.

Select your frame layer and apply a drop shadow.

Add a new raster layer and drag this under Raster layer 1.  Open paper of choice,  I am using Floral paper two.  Copy and close the original. 
Standing on your new raster layer, select all and paste into selection, select none.
Layers>Load/save mask, find Vix mask 363 (invert not checked) and apply your mask.
Merge group. duplicate and merge down.

Add any elements you like or use the ones I used.

I used the following:

Golden Doodle.  Pasted above my mask layer. Resized 60% moved to the top right corner.
Duplicate and mirror, merge down, duplicate and flip.  Merge down again.

Gold leaf.  Copy and close the orginal.  paste this above your tube layer.
Image resize 10% and move to the left bottom corner of your frame.
Duplicate.  Select the bottom gold leaf and move this up just a little.
Once happy with placement, select your top leaf layer and merge down.

Pink Blossom Gem:  Image resize 25% and move this to the bottom left corner
of your frame and drag this above your mask layer.

Duplicate your blossom and move to the top.  Resize 70% and move to the bottom left hand corner
of your frame and drop shadow.  Duplicate again and mirror.

Paper heart two:  Copy and close the original.  Paste and drag this layer to the top.
Resize 25% and again by 80%  Image free rotate 25 degrees to the left and move to the bottom right
side corner above your blossom.

Glitter butterfly:  Copy and close the original.  Resize 30% and drop shadow.
Move this to the right mid side so it is sitting on your gold leaf.
See mine for placement.

Medium cupid:  Copy and close the original. Paste as a new layer.  Resize 70%, free rotate to the left 25 degrees and move above your paper heart. Image Mirror.  It will now be on your blossom.

Cone:  Copy and close the original.  Paste and resize 20% and again by 80%.  Move this
to the right mid side and move this layer under your tube layer but above your frame layer.
See mine for placement.

Add any other elements you like.

Add your copyright and name.

If you do not want to animate this save as png and your done.

Animation:

Select your bottom layer and add a new raster layer.  Flood fill this with white and move to the very bottom.

Select your doodle layer.  Mine is raster 4.

Effect Xenofex 2 with the following settings


Edit>copy special>copy merge and paste into animation shop as new animation
or ctrl + V.

Back to psp.  Undo the constellation (ctrl + Z).

Apply constellation again but this time hit random seed.
Edit>copy special>copy merge and paste into animation shop and paste after current frame (ctrl + shift + L).

Repeat this process one more time.

You should now have 3 frames in animation shop.

View your animation and if you are happy with the animation save.
Animated version.

PTU: Emo Cutie Form & Tag set

Here is what we will be making so you might want to grab some coffee lol.

This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies needed.
I am using PSP X4 but this tutorial should work with any version.
PTU Tube:  I am using the fantastic artwork of Verymany.  Please do not use this artwork without a  proper license.  You can purchase this at PFD.

PTU scrap kit:  I am using Emo Cutie (TS) by Baby Cakes Scraps.  Thank you for creating this fantastic kit.  You can view it at her blog here or purchase it a her store here.

Mask:  I am using DBV mask 113 by Designs by Vaybs. Thank you for making these fantastic masks. You can download it from her site here. Save this to your mask folder.
Plug ins:  None.

This tutorial was written using the supplies above.  If you are using a different tube or scrap kit you may need to make adjustments.

We will be making a matching tag, banner & avatar set.
I am using a Drop shadow V/H 2, Opacity 50, Blur 5 though out unless other wise stated.

Banner

Open a new 600x250 image.
Open paper of choice:  I am using Dot paper, edit>copy and close the original.  Edit>paste as a new layer and resize it by 80%. All layers NOT checked.

Open your tube, edit>copy and paste as a new layer on your working image.  Image>resize 70%, all layers NOT checked, and move to a spot you like best.  I moved mine down and left it in the center.  Drop shadow.

Time for elements.  Use any element you like or use the ones I used.

I used the following:

Cupcake:  Edit>copy and close the original.  Paste as a new layer.  Move this layer to the bottom left.  See mine for placement.

Emo pup:  Resized 50% and moved to the bottom left side. Drop shadow with the same settings used earlier.
Move this layer towards the left side just over your cupcake.  see mine for placement.

Net flower: Edit>copy and close the original.  Paste as a new layer.
Drag this layer under your pup layer.

Leaves:  Edit>copy and close the original.  Edit>paste as a new layer and move this toward the right side.  See mine for placement. move this layer under your net flower layer.

Acrylic Flower: Edit>copy and close the original.  Edit>paste as a new layer.  Move to the right side, Image resize 50% and move to the upper right hand corner.  This layer should be right
above your leaves layer. See mine for placement.

Open your tube, edit>copy and paste as a new layer on your working image.  Image>resize 70%, all layers NOT checked, and move to a spot you like best.

I moved mine down and left it in the center.  Drop shadow.
Move this layer to the top.

Select your tube layer, add a new raster layer.  Select all>Selections>modify>select selection boarders>Both sides checked. Anti-alias checked, boarder width 6 click ok.

Pick a color from you banner.  I am using #400063 and flood fill your new layer.  DO NOT deselect.

Drop shadow V/H 1, Opacity 100, Blur 1.  Repeat the drop shadow but change V/H to -1.

Adjust>add remove noise> Gaussian 25% Monochrome checked. Deselect.

Add your name and copyright and save as png.  Do not close.  Shift + D to duplicate it.

Close your original.

Avatar

Working with your duplicate banner, hide your copyright and boarder layers.  Merge Visible.

Image resize 80% all layers checked.

Select your crop tool, crop to 150x150, move the box around until you find a spot you like.

Once happy with your selection click the green check mark.
Select all, Selections to boarder, use the same settings as for the banner, but change the width to 4.  Flood fill your new layer with  #400063.  DO NOT deselect.

Drop shadow V/H 1, Opacity 100, Blur 1.  Repeat the drop shadow but change V/H to -1.

Adjust>add remove noise> Gaussian 25% Monochrome checked. Deselect.

Add your copyright and name or initial and save as png.

Tag

Open new 600x600 image.

Open dot paper.  Edit copy and close the original. Back to your working image.  Select all and paste into selection. Deselect.

Layers>load/save mask from disk and find DVB mask 113.  Invert not checked.  Apply your mask and merge group.

Open Net Flower:  Edit>copy and close the original.  Paste as a new raster layer on your working image.

Open Journal:  Edit>copy and close the original.  Paste as a new raster layer.  Image>resize 60% all layers NOT checked.  Move this towards the bottom.  See mine for placement.

Open Leaves:  Edit>copy and close the original.  Select your mask layer and paste as a new layer.

Image resize 60% all layers NOT checked and repeat.  Move this to the upper left hand corner.

See mine for placement.  Duplicate and mirror.

Select your net flower layer.  Open your tube, copy and paste as a new layer on your working image.

Image>resize 70% all layers NOT checked and move in the center.

  Using  your eraser tool, erase the bottom portion of your tube. 
When finished, you should not see any of your tube below the journal.  Drop shadow.

Open Acrylic Flower: Edit>copy and close the original.  Edit>paste as a new layer.  Move to the bottom right side
of your journal. Image resize 50% and move this layer under your journal layer  . See mine for placement.  Image duplicate, Image Mirror.

Open Emo cupcake:  Edit>copy and close the original. Select your top layer of your tag and paste as a new layer.
Image resize 40% and move to the left side of your journal. See mine for placement.  Apply same drop shadow you used on your tube.

Open Emo pup:  Edit>copy and close the original. Select your top layer of your tag and paste as a new layer.
Image resize 50% and move to the right side of your journal. See mine for placement.
Apply same drop shadow you used on your tube.
Add any other element you like.

Image crop, Merged opaque and click ok.

Add your name and copyright and save as png.

PTU: Birthday Wishes

Supplies needed.

I am using PSP X4 but this tutorial should work with any version.

PTU Tube:  I am using the fantastic artwork of Elias Chatzoudis.  Please do not
use his artwork without a  proper license.  I purchase this at PTE when it was open.  You now can purchase this at Elias's store here.

PTU scrap kit:  I am using Bright Birthday by Baby Cakes Scraps.  Thank you for creating
this fantastic kit.  You can view it at her blog here

Mask: WSL_mask178.  You can download it at Weescotslass creations here.
 Save this to your mask folder.

This tutorial was written using the supplies above.  If you are using a different
tube or scrap kit you may need to make adjustments.

Open new 600x600 image.

Open paper nine, copy and paste as a new layer on your working image.

Layers>load/save mask and find your WSL_mask 178.  Load your mask, invert unchecked.
merge group.  Image>resize 110% all layers NOT checked.

Select your mask layer.  Open your close up tube.  If you are using the same tube as me,
I used the middle tube.  Copy and paste as a new layer.  Image>resize 90%,
Image>mirror and place towards the middle.  Add a drop shadow of choice
I used V/H 2, Opacity 50, blur 5.

Time for some elements.
Drop Shadow:  I used the same settings, as above, through out.

I used the following:

Bow2, copy and paste as a new layer.  Move this to bottom of your tag covering the bottom
of the tube.  see mine for placement.  Apply drop shadow.

Yellow balloon 3, Copy and paste as a new layer.  Move this layer above your mask layer.
image>resize 60% and move to the upper right side of the mask.  See mine for placement.

Red balloon, copy and paste as a new layer above your yellow balloon. Resize 60% then resize by 80%.
Move to towards the bottom of the yellow balloon. Image>free rotate left free 25 degrees.  All layers NOT checked.

Blue Balloon: Repeat the steps for the red balloon but for the free rotate click right.

Confetti Balloon:  Repeat the resize steps as above. Place on the bottom of your red & blue balloon.
See mine for placement.

Flower:  Copy and paste as a new layer. Resize 60% and move this layer above
your tube layer but below the ribbon layer.  Move this to the lower right side.
See mine for placement.

Flower 5:  Copy and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50%. Move this layer below your flower layer.
Move to the left middle.  See mine for placement.

Open sticker 6.  Copy and paste as a new layer and move this layer to the top.
Resize 60% and move over your ribbon.

Add any other elements you wish.

Add your copyright and name.  Save as a png and you are done.

PTU Summer Fun



This tutorial was written by me on July 7, 2012 and are the result of my

Supplies needed.

PTU scrap kit:  I am using a fantastic kit called Long Hot Summer by Baby Cakes Scraps.

Mask:  WSL mask 181 by Weescotslass creations.  You can download it here.

Plug ins,
eyecandy 4000/Gradient glow

This tutorial was written using the supplies above.  If you are using a different
tube or scrap kit you may need to make adjustments.

On to the tutorial.

Open a new 650x650 image.

Open frame 2, Edit>copy and close the original.
Click on your working image and Edit>paste as a new layer. 
Image>resize by 60% All layers NOT checked.

Open paper of choice:  I am using paper 9.  Edit>copy and close the original.
Back to your working image.  Select your magic wand, tolerance and feather 0,
anti-alias checked, and click inside your frame.  Remember to click in the open
spots where the flowers are.  Selections>modify>expand by 10, add a new raster layer,
Make sure you are standing on your new layer, Edit>paste into selection.
DO NOT DESELECT.  Open your close up tube, edit>copy and paste as a new layer.
Using your move tool (not pick) move to a spot you like best.  Selections>
Invert, making sure you have your tube layer highlighted, hit delete on your
keyboard. Select none.  Move your paper and tube layer under the frame layer.

Select your tube layer, Right click and select properties.  Change the blend mode
to Luminance legacy and lower the opacity to 50.

Select your frame layer. Add a drop shadow V/H 2 Opacity 50 blur 5.  Open the charm element, edit>copy and close the original.
Paste as a new raster layer and move this to the left side of the frame.  See mine for placement.
Apply the same drop shadow that you used on the frame.

Open bow of choice.  I am using bow 2.  Edit>copy and close the original.
Back to your working image.  Edit>paste as a new layer. Move this to the left
side above your charm.  See mine for placement. Apply same drop shadow as before.

Open the sun, Image>resize 60% all layers not checked. Move to the right top
and move this layer to the bottom. See mine for placement.

Select your bottom layer and open the towel element.  Edit>copy, close the original,
Edit>paste as a new layer.  Image resize 80% and move to the bottom of the frame.
See mine for placement.

Open your main tube, Select your top layer of your working image.  Edit>paste as a new layer
, Image>Mirror and move to the right hand side so it looks like she is kneeling on the towel.  Apply the same drop shadow you used earlier.

Open Summer fun word art.  Image>resize 80% and repeat.  Move to the bottom of your tag.
See mine for placement.  Effects>eyecandy 4000/gradient glow.  I used basic tab glow width 3, soft corner 25, opacity 100.
color tab, select medium and hit ok.  Repeat the gradient glow.

Select your bottom layer and add a new raster layer.  Move this to the bottom.
Open paper of choice,  I am using paper2.  Edit>copy and close the original.
Make sure you are on the bottom layer, Select all. Edit>paste into selections, select none.

Layers>Load/save mask and find your WSL_mask 181.  Fit to Canvas checked.  Source luminance checked, hide all masks checked,
Invert transparency not checked.  click load them merge group.  Adjust>noise>add noise>Gaussian checked, noise 50%, monochrome checked.

Image>resize 80% all layers checked. 

Add your name and copyright, save as png and you done.
